ANNOUNCEMENT Summer 2026 Trimester: This trimester will be using recorded videos from a previous trimester because the instructors will both be taking sabbaticals in April and May 2026. Because of the video instead of in-person learning, we will offer this class at a very discounted rate for this trimester only. There will be no in-person meeting so please disregard any reference to an in-person meeting.
Welcome to midwifery! In this class we will learn about what a midwife is and what she does. We will talk with practicing midwives about the challenges and inspirations they face in their work. We will discuss the different kinds of midwives, their education and training and legal status across the USA and world. We will discuss the Certified Professional Midwife Credential in depth and go over the details of how to become a CPM and how Holistic Birth Institute helps student midwives attain their goal of becoming a CPM.
